Bar's Song of the Week feat Woodkid

Holy crap heres the first SotW featuring a male singer(usually its females.. chicks can sing am I right?) and man is it epic. Now I am one of those music hunters that will usually download a song from first hearing it on a movie/game/commercial trailer.  This song I pulled from the E3 2011 Trailer for Assassin's Creed: Revelations and although I dont like to admit that my source is from a well known game's +10,000,000 views trailer I still think this is definitely the song of the week and people will enjoy it without some slick ass assassin running around killing about a dozen soldiers.

Apparently this song is getting some really well deserved attention in the music industry and if I were to give you a quick summary on who Woodkid is I would say that 'Yoann Lemoine' was a well known video director that has worked with great artists such as Moby, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. Most recently he wrote his own song entitled 'Iron'. Heres a link for all you folks. Immediately check it out ASAP!

Bar's Song of the Week feat Down With Webster

Heres something new and good. This rap/rock group from Toronto have a couple of hit songs(in Canada) such as 'Rich Girl$' and 'Your Man' but my favorite of the three has to be 'Whoa is Me' Who doesn't love a rap video with a bunch of white boys acting angry, flipping over tables and having sex with women in a bathroom stall. I know I do.

Dragon Age: Origins

So I'm at the last point in the game where my party and I are barreling through the castle at Denerim, fighting waves and and even more waves of Darkspawn and I am getting really into the intense action because literally anything could happen at this point. With Darkspawn are charging in huge ridiculously sized waves, threatening my squishy mages and here I stand, the mighty Dwarf Warrior, swinging my enormous claymore at the onslaught, popping healing potions and knocking down enemies with my warcry at every turn. When suddenly I reach a huge room in the castle where some band of warriors look to have pushed though a barricade of Darkspawn. Curious to who or what ally I might find up ahead and how they could possibly help me continue though this seemingly endless mass of Darkspawn soldiers I run into what was probably one of the greatest surprises in video gaming history.

Puzzled was my first thought to find a lonely dwarf at the end of what could easily have been a trail of at least 100 enemy corpses knowing that I might in fact meet a new super bad ass character or something. As I rush closely to find out what the mess is all about I begin to focus in on what seems to be a recognizable character that clearly does not belong in one of the most bloody and dangerous battles of all time. Sandal and his cognitively impaired face make the most surprising appearances of the game and you know how sometimes it is easy to predict the plot of a movie or game? "ENCHANTMENTS?"

"ENCHANTMENT!" Well this blew my effin mind. I mean seriously, its like the part in KOTOR where you find out that you are the Sith Lord and where the main character of Fight Club finds out that he's also Brad Pitt made a baby and then that baby had sex with another baby whos parents are the Vader and Luke scene at the end of Empire Strikes back and the plot twist to Sixth Sense... and after all that the baby turned out to be hooked into the Matrix where he wakes up and Morpheus walks up to the baby and asks the words "Would You Kindly?".

What a mind-fuck...

ENCHANTMENT?

Jessie J "Price Tag (feat B.o.B.)"

This song is catchy, fun and might as well be on everyones 'Summer 2011 Playlist'. The intro when she refers to 'Coconut Man', 'Moonheads' and 'Pea' bugged me so I did my research and apparently she is doing a little inside joke shout out to a couple of people that helped her produce the song. Now I no longer cringe my teeth during the intro of the song, and maybe, just maybe.. this nickname intro crap wont catch on.

Bar's Song of the Week feat Within Temptation

Lets start off this song of the week with some epic new tune from Within Temptation. They arnt as well known as their doppleganger Evanescence however they should be. This is probably one of the most underrated bands of today. If you like this tune then check out their other hit tracks; 'Angels', 'Forsaken', 'Stand My Ground' and 'What Have You Done'
